Southfields Mill was burnt down sometime after 1906 and I don’t have a photograph of it.
However the mill can be dated at sometime around 1730 due to a recorded dispute probably in the early 1770’s between between the owner of the mill and Woodchester Mill over water levels between between the two mills.
Water level disputes were not that uncommon between the mill owners due to the shared resource of the river that they all depended on.
