The grade 2 listed Lightpill Mill and outbuildings near the Aldi supermarket in Stroud is for sale with Hawkins Watton.

A guide price is circa £2,000,000.
As a recent comparison, Kimmins Mill found next to Sainsbury’s car park sold at auction in 2020 for £280,000, although it’s considerably smaller.
The last use of Lightpill Mill would have been back in the 90s / 00s when it housed lots of small businesses.
I imagine there will be damage to the floor in parts of it as there are massive holes in the roof where the covers over the roof windows have blown off!

Currently (October 2025) the whole estate is being cleared of old industrial units. The first to go was Lightpill House in around 2018 which was demolished to make way for the new Aldi.
The old mills in this area invariable end up as housing although it’s often a slow process.
The most recent mill development was Rooksmoor Mills, with a planning application in for Ham Mill at Thrupp.
This is one to watch as there’s a lot of land on that estate that must be ripe for housing development.
I will publish any updates here at Stroudie Central.
