Like many towns up and down the country today there have been protests by students concerned about the way we are treating the planet and the damage to the environment we are doing that big money and power appear to be covering up and not addressing.
The Extinction Rebellion poster is at the end of this article that explains their cause.
I missed the earlier marches but here are a few photos I grabbed at lunch time where a few of the protesters were still gathered by the canal at Wallbridge. Earlier an open mic allowed students to have their say and trees were planted.
Like all protests there will be differences of opinion on the numbers involved depending on who you ask.
