While temperatures this week haven’t been too shabby, all that’s got the potential to change by the weekend and early next week as a polar vortex, also known as Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW) kicks in.
Don’t be fooled by the word warming, this vortex could cause the freezing cold air currently over continental Europe to be pushed into the UK. If the cold air stays with us for a couple of days disruptive snow is on the cards for much of the UK.
It makes a change from earthquakes I suppose!
