Not news in any way shape or form but looking at the building work going on above the old Millets shop on the high street in Stroud, the end of the building looks just as ornate as the upper story frontage on Kendrick Street which begs the question..
Was the shop known as Eclipse built between the two buildings at a much later date as it’s completely out of character with the buildings either side of it (which don’t match either). And as it’s sort of inline with the road through The Shambles did that road once run straight across the High St?
