Badger Paintings on Fence Posts

Share

I spotted these paintings on fence posts around the edge of a field on the way up to Swifts Hill on the Slad Road recently and just had to photograph them.

Apparently they were painted by a local youngster some years ago when the badger cull was announced. Most of them have faded now but Stroudie Central thinks they’re brilliant!

I would say they make a nice change from all the politics going on at the moment but ironically they are a Stroudie response to politics!

If you want to see them drive up the Slad road out of Stroud and after about a mile or so there is a small turning on the right that takes you down a narrow road and on up to Swifts Hill. Be warned though, there isn’t really anywhere nearby to park.
